Online
Online training has been very helpful in my training journey, but nothing beats in person training. If you need help finding a competent trainer and/or club to work with contact me.
Dave Kroyer Subscription - I found this helpful for training heeling, fronts, and retrieves for IGP. But they have a lot of other great topics too. Plus…it’s only 10 bucks a month!
Canemo - They offer a variety of courses related to Schutzhund training. Some of their courses are free! I really enjoyed the free jumping course.
Fenzi Dog Sports Academy - FDSA offers affordable online classes and webinars in a variety of lengths and topics like obedience, fitness, agility, and training basics. They also have an alumni Facebook group you can join after you take a class!
Leerburg - Leerburg has a large list of dog training courses and videos you can purchase. Some are even free.
DogBone Hunter - This is a youtube channel with videos on training blood tracking and retrieving.
Tips and Tales Podcast - A podcast discussing training and hunting with dogs. You should be able to find it on most podcast apps.
Show Dog Prep School - SDPS offers online courses, webinars, mentorship, and one-on-one coaching in conformation training, ring handling, and show dog preparation using positive reinforcement based methods.
In Person
LV DVG America Club Search - DVG America is an all breed club that supports the training and trialing of dogs in IGP in both the US and Canada. You can search for a club on their website.
USCA Club Search - The United Schutzhund Club of America is dedicated to the preserving the working German Shepherd Dog and has many clubs and trials across the states. Despite USCA’s main focus being GSD many clubs accept dogs of all breeds to train with them. There are many USCA clubs, so I encourage you to reach out in your area even if their listing says they are full. They may still have connections to help you out or allow you to come observe and make your own connections!
Hunt Secretary - You can find AKC Retriever and Upland (Spaniel) tests to enter on this website. Airedales are eligible to run and title in both. Helpful Tip: Look at the clubs hosting events in your area and reach out to them to see if they host training days or know of other locals that do.
AKC Hunt Test Search - You can also search for AKC Hunt Tests, Obedience, Rally, Agility, and Tracking events here.
North American Hunting Retriever Club - Airedales are eligible to run and recently eligible to title in NAHRA events. You can find clubs, events, and more info about NAHRA on their website.
